GFFTL conducted input tracking at Venilale Post Administrative, Baucau Municipality

Baucau, 11 June 2024, GFFTL together with the Director of SMASA Baucau municipality, development partner WaterAid Timor-Leste, PN-BESI-TL, local authority, Water User Group, Facilitator Post Administration, and community of the water system conducted input tracking and water quality test to the Nonu Docu water system that supplies water to the community in two villages such as Suco Uma-Ana-Ulu, and Uma-Ana-Iku at Venilale Post Administrative.

Input tracking activity conducted by GFFTL together with the relevant entities including the water system community visited the water system to do the input tracking. The objective is to directly observe the condition of the water system and the facilities at the intake. The team also did a water quality test at their spring that is consumed by the community. After that, GFFTL and the team continued to gather information related to the water system according to the indicators of the rural water system utilized in the Community Score Card process to be updated to mWater application and directly observe installed public taps facilities.

Before visiting the water source, the Director of GFFTL introduced input tracking activity to the community leaders, water user groups, and the community. “This activity will use CSC tools and indicators that are being used in Manufahi and Liquiçá and now in identified Nonudocu water source aims to identify water supply, installed facilities, community’s access to water, and challenges facing by community and service providers including evaluate their water quality. 

Team's observation on the current condition of the Nonudocu water system shows that their water system is well protected which alinged with the result of the water quality test that says their water is safe to be consumed by the community.
