World Toilet Day Celebration

The Toilet World Day is celebrated every year on 19 of November based on the World Toilet Organization and United Nations decision in 2001 with the objective to imrpove community's awareness to consider accessing toilets and actions for the safe improvement toileit as an imporntat issue in order to ensure community's health. The theme of this year's celebration is Accelerating Change as an unique opportunity for everyone to consider and take action for a strong intervention to the changes in sanitation to ensure that everyone can live in a hygiene and safe environment. 

PN-BESI-TL and WaterAid Timor-Leste including its implementing partners consider this World Toilet Day celebration as an effective way of advocacy to increase everyone's awareness, both individuals as well as institutions to consider toilet as an important issue. Therefore, PN-BESI-TL and partners particularly WATL organized the celebration of the important day on 27 of November 2023 with several activities such as socialization activity led by the National Director of Education and Helath Promotion, cleaning activity, campaign, press conference in Maslidun, Tasi Tolu, Dili.
